Pittsburgh Selected for 2012 Joint HSC/AMSC Conference

Preparations are underway for the 2012 Joint National Harbor Safety and Area Maritime Security Committee Conference to be held in Pittsburgh, PA, during September 2012. The 2012 conference will be hosted by port and industry groups from the Pittsburgh area with support from Coast Guard Sector Ohio Valley, and Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Pittsburgh. The Transportation Research Board (TRB) will perform in the vital role as conference coordinator.

We are still in the early stages of planning the conference and we welcome you input on such things as the agenda, session topics, and conference theme. If you would like to participate the the planning teleconferences, please contact Mr. Dennis Fahr at 202-372-1531.

We look forward to hearing your input (commenting to this blog is also welcome!) and we'll see you in Pittsburgh next September.

Entries shall also follow the guidelines set forth in the blog’s comment policy. SENSITIVE AND/OR SECURITY INFORMATION MUST NOT BE DISCLOSED OR DISCUSSED ON THE BLOG.

Blog administrators reserve the right to review post ideas/submissions to determine whether or not they will appear in the blog. Administrators may also edit submissions (not comments) for grammar and SAPP (security, accuracy, policy and propriety) prior to posting. The Coast Guard provides no compensation for submissions published on the blog.
